Hostel Rules

Here are the rules and regulations for hostel students:

  • All students must maintain discipline and decorum within the hostel premises.
  • Students must abide by the hostel timings and are required to be present in the hostel during the prescribed hours.
  • Breakfast time is from 7:30 to 8:30, lunch time is from 11:00 to 13:30, and dinner time is from 17:30 to 20:30.
  • All students must complete health care check up from administration appointed health facility for admission.
  • All students are required to attend classes and complete their studies.
  • Proper behavior and respect towards hostel staff and fellow students are expected at all times.
  • No posters, banners or any other form of graffiti or defacing of the hostel walls or property is allowed.
  • Students must respect the privacy and personal belongings of their fellow hostel mates.
  • Guest will be allowed between 10:00 and 21:00 hours
  • No female is allowed on premises between 21:00 and 10:00 hours
  • No female(s) is allowed in room during anytime.
  • Any damage to hostel property will result in a fine or penalty.
  • Use hostel facilities and equipment with care and responsibility. Any misuse will be penalized.
  • The use of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • No gambling or other illegal activities are allowed on the premises.
  • Students must keep their rooms clean and tidy, and will be held responsible for any damage caused to the room.
  • Students are not allowed to use any electrical appliances in their rooms without permission from the hostel authorities.
  • All hostel fees must be paid on time, failure to do so will result in suspension or termination of hostel services.

  • Hostel authorities are empowered to enter the room at any point of time (even in the midnight) to inspect the room and belongings of the students. No resistance can be offered by the inmates. They must co-operate in completing the inspection. Resistance offered is considered as violation of norms.
  • Any sort of fighting and Man handling are not allowed and if any one attempt to do such things, will be viewed very seriously and take necessary action.
  • Students are required to follow all fire safety regulations, including not blocking fire exits and not using open flames in the hostel.
  • Any medical condition must be immediately reported to the hostel authorities.
  • No weapons or hazardous materials are allowed on the premises.
  • Students are required to follow the dress code set by the hostel authorities.
  • Students must seek permission from the warden before leaving the hostel premises for any purpose.
  • Students must inform the hostel administration in case of prolonged absence or leave from the hostel.
  • Any act of violence, harassment, discrimination, or bullying will not be tolerated and will be strictly dealt with.
  • Any form of discrimination or harassment based on caste, gender, religion, language or any other form of identity is strictly prohibited.
  • Student without license is not allowed to keep vehicles on the premises.
  • No reserve or priority parking is allotted.
  • The hostel management is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal belongings of the students.
  • Garbage should be put in the Dustbin only. Students should use the dustbins given in each room. They should not throw the garbage into the corridor and other areas.
  • Drying clothes on Railings and Parapet walls in the corridor is strictly prohibited.
  • Furniture should be only in the place initially planned for and cannot be moved.
  • Dining in the college hours students cannot stay back in the hostel without the permission of the principal warden and after the college hours they cannot leave the hostel for any reason without the permission of the Chief Warden.
  • Birthday, Festival and other celebrations are not allowed inside the campus
  • Any violation of the rules and regulations will result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the hostel.

It is the responsibility of every student to follow the rules and regulations of the hostel. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action or termination of hostel services.
